
Director General of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) Dr Khaled Al Sulaiti met HE Ambassador of Poland to Qatar Krzysztof Suprowicz where they discussed ways to enhance cultural cooperation and Katara's hosting of Polish artistic and cultural events and activities.
In a statement after the meeting, Dr Al Sulaiti said that HE Suprowicz proposed a musical work project by a Polish band during which the works for the famous Polish musician Frederic Chopin will be presented and a number of films will be screened, pointing out that this project is expected to be held during the months of April, May and November of this year.
Katara, he said, has been working hard to attract various activities and events that can contribute to enhancing the rapprochement of cultures and peoples.
Dr Khalid Al Sulaiti and Polish Ambassador also toured "No War" gallery displayed by the photographer Haitham Aziz, which showcases photographic album, including a 94 documentary photographs depicting the economic, social and military catastrophic consequences of war during the duration from the year 1914 till 1918.
HE the Polish Ambassador praised Katara and its role in providing a common ground for Qatari and international innovators and intellectuals.
