
The Kuwait Writers Association launched Wednesday a new cultural season with a seminar on the writings of famous Kuwaiti poet and writer Khalif Al-Waqyan. "This seminar is held in recognition of Al-Waqyan's role in documenting and preserving Kuwaiti heritage," said Secertary Gerneral Talal Al-Romadhi. He noted that Al-Waqyan had focused on highlighting and studying the main pillars of the Kuwaiti culture kuna reported. For her part, Dr. Nourah Al-Mulaifi made a presentation about the writer and his most important book "Culture in Kuwait", which won the 2007 Kuwait Bookfair prize. Al-Waqyan went deep into studying and analyzing the different features of Kuwaiti culture across time, she noted.
