
Kuwait Awqaf (Endowment) Public Foundation (KAPF) will propose a law that will take into consideration the various interoperation of endowment implemented by Islamic sects and schools of thought, said a Kuwaiti official here Wednesday.
During his speech at the opening of a forum on endowment governance organized by KAPF and the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), the Foundation's Secretary General Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Jarallah Al-Kharafi said that the draft law for the legislation was being finalized, hoping that such step would help facilitate endowment efforts in the Muslim world.
Regarding a law for endowment for non-Muslim countries, Al-Kharafi said that KAPF was embarking on the second phase of the project, affirming that the foundation was up to the task of coordinating endowment efforts in the Islamic world.
