
A booth at Rome's Fiumicino Airport advertising Kuwait's stall at the Milan Expo 2014 was inaugurated by the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled and Expo organisers on Wednesday.
The event was marked by a ceremony organised by Kuwait's Ministry of Information, which was attended by Kuwaiti lawmaker Faisal Al-Shaya, Arab missions and local Rome council members.
Mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino, in a speech, described Kuwait's participation in Expo 2014 as one of the most attractive out of the 140 nations.
He hailed the role of the ambassador in hosting the booth which sheds light on the culture and legacy of Kuwait in the airport, which witnesses around 100,000 travellers on a daily basis.
For his part, the ambassador expressed gratitude and appreciation over the capital city's gesture and the contribution of Kuwait's Ministry of Information, Kuwait Airways and Kuwait Petroleum International, also known as Q8.
Kuwait's airport booth continues until December 8.
