Arab women diplomats have held a philanthropic bazaar for promoting Arab culture and heritage of the nation, and Kuwaiti participation with national products has drawn interest of a large number of visitors. Jawaher Al-Sabah, second secretary of the Kuwaiti embassy in Madrid, said Kuwait has always taken part in such bazaars and gatherings, with support from His Highness the Amir, HH the Crown Prince and the Foreign Minister, praising enormous efforts that have been exerted by the Kuwaiti ambassador to Spain, Adel Al-Ayyar, for holding the event. Kuwait took part in the Arab Philanthropic Bazaar, held late on Saturday, with two pavilions, displaying in one national products, and only food items in the other. The event was co-organized by the Society of Arab Women Diplomats, the Spanish government and the Madrid Municipality. Proceeds will be granted to a society specialized in researches on cancer and another for treating patients. Mashael Al-Kanderi, spouse the second secretary of the Kuwaiti embassy, Meshari Al-Naibari, affirmed significance of such workshops to promote the Arab culture, traditional products, and praised high turnout at the Kuwaiti sections. Hoda Al-Medlej, member of the society, said the association, that has been holding the bazaar regularly since 2007, has established the department of translated books and documents. She thanked the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information and identical authorities in the other Arab states for contribution with various books. Moreover, she noted high demand for the Kuwaiti magazines, Al-Arabi and Alam Al-Maarefah. Kholoud Al-Muawad, spouse of the diplomatic attache, Nasser Al-Ateeq, affirmed that the participation in the event was intended to promote the name of Kuwait. Distinguished Kuwaiti presence in the bazaar is aimed at boosting ties between peoples of Kuwait and Spain, she affirmed. Teams from 17 Arab states took part in the charitable activity.
