Lebanese Information Minister Ramzi Joreige called Thursday for boosting cooperation between Cairo and Beirut in the cultural and media fields.
The minister made the remarks during his meeting with Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab in Cairo.
Joreige is taking part in the 46th meeting of the Arab Information Ministers Council, held in Cairo.
Lebanon has made good use of Egyptian expertise in the fields of culture, literature and arts, he said.
He hailed the council meeting as fruitful, saying that a common ground of agreement is seen at the horizon for an Arab media plan.
