Makkah emir to lead Holy Kaaba washing

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulziz Al Saud, Makkah Emir HH Prince Mish'al bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his accompanying delegation on Saturday will lead the ceremonial washing of the inside of the Holy Kaaba, sponging its walls with linen wetted with Zamzam water blended with rose oil.
Dr. Sheikh Abdurahman A. Al-Sudais, Head of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Dr. Sheikh Muhammad N. Al-Khozaim, Deputy Head of the Presidency, several government ministers, Islamic scholars, Muslim diplomats accredited to the Kingdom, as well as citizens and visitors to the Grand Mosque will also participate in washing the Holy Kaaba.
This practice follows the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) since the day of Fateh-Makkah.
