
Makkah History Center, which was commissioned by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud more than seven years ago, is a reference on the history of Makkah and its holy sites and Islamic historical sites.
The center is supervised by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Archives and Research.
The King ordered the establishment of the center for realizing the importance of the Holy Grand Mosque. The center received the King's support and interest since he was governor of Riyadh region.
Continuous support by King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the center enabled it to publish more than 15 books of great importance in addition to holding numerous activities on the history of Makkah.
