The material used in restoring the mask of King Tutankhamun is not prohibited, Director of the Egyptian Museum Mahmoud Al Hawagi said on Friday.
On contrary, the Epoxy adhesive is used in the restoration processes all over the world, Hawagi stressed.
Professor of restoration of monuments at Cairo University Mohamed Abdel Hady, meanwhile, said that the beard of King Tutankhamun suffered damage after using a poor type of epoxy.
Consequently, he called for removing this material as soon as possible and using a refined type of Epoxy instead.
