Poetry and moving marked the private view of a collective exhibition held Wednesday in tribute to artist Aicha Haddad at Moufdi-Zakaria Cultural Palace in Algiers. Eight visual artists, displaying their works at Baya gallery, underlined the remarkable personality of the late painter. Most of the participating artists are self-taught as was the late Aicha Haddad, passed away in 2005 "Aicha Haddad and her friend artist Baya were as like as two peas in a pod. They were distinguished by their modesty. They were laconic, but when they do they show wisdom and pertinence," said Nehab Sabrina, one of the exhibitors. Aicha Haddad's participation in the national liberation war was also raised by the participants.
