
The Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Secretary General Ali Al-Yuha on Friday voiced condolences over the death of famous painter Ayoub Hussein Al-Ayoub who breathed his last earlier today at the age of 83. "Over 40 years, Al-Ayoub has enriched Kuwait's cultural and artistic movement with over 700 paintings which documented important stages of Kuwait's modern history," Al-Yuha said in a press statement. He added that Al-Ayoub has gone "but will always be remembered by the great legacy of his artwork". He revealed that the NCCAl's was putting the final touches on Ayoub Hussein Al-Ayoub House for fine arts which was planned to be inaugurated November 21 and houses Al-Ayoub artworks. Al-Yuha expressed heartfelt condolences over loss of renowned artists and voiced sympathy with his family. He recalled Al-Ayoub's role in the establishment of the National Museum of Kuwait in 1958 and the documentation of the details of Kuwaiti marine environment through his paintings.
