A Chinese art exhibition showed at UN headquarters in New York on Friday.
Two Chinese artists, Tian Yuemin and Bian Jian, put their paintings which depict horses and pandas on display to deliver the message of peace and friendship.
Organizers said the exhibition is to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the victory of the world's anti-Fascist war.
"Pandas are amiable and lovely. And they can be considered as the messenger of peace," said Bian, who created the oil paintings of the exhibition with pandas as his subject.
Horses are a symbol of a positive attitude, said Tian, who created Chinese traditional paintings on horses in the exhibition, adding that the show is expected to advocate development in a harmonious manner which echoes with the theme of peace and development of the international community.
