Pope Tawadros II receives Azhar imam

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese received Sunday at the papal premises Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb along with his accompanying delegation.
Tayyeb and his accompanying delegation greeted the Pope on the occasion of Easter.
The Pope, meanwhile, welcomed Tayyeb and his delegation and hailed the close ties between Al Azhar and the Church.
Tayyeb affirmed that Muslims and Copts in Egypt are one fabric as they are partners in building the homeland and developing it.
