
HE the Minister of Culture Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari met here today with the Japanese calligraphy artist Junichi Yoshikawa. They exchanged opinions on the role of arts in bridging gaps between the different cultures in addition to organizing joint visual arts exhibition of Qatari and Japanese artists. The Japanese artist also reviewed, during the meeting, some of the ideas on using modern Arabic and Japanese calligraphy to create artistic aesthetics on one painting to express the Alliance of Civilizations. The meeting was attended by the Japanese ambassador to Qatar HE Shingo Tsuda, and a number of the Japanese Embassy staff.
