
The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, HE Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari, met here on Thursday with HE Angelika Renate Storz-Chakarji, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Qatar, in the presence of Dr. Verna Leber, in charge of the Papyrus collection in the Egyptian Museum of Berlin.
Talks during the meeting dealt with cultural and artistic relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them as well as the ongoing preparations on the Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture, and the various cultural, sports and scientific events due to be held on this occasion to highlight all aspects of civilization and renaissance in Qatar, in coordination with HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums Authority.
An invitation was extended to Dr. Verna Leber to take part in the activities of the next Doha International Book Fair.
