
HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari arrived in Paris to participate in celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which was founded in 1945, in his capacity as UNCTAD President at an official invitation of UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and heads of international organizations and ministers responsible for cultural affairs of UNESCO member states will participate in this celebration which will be held on Tuesday.
The activities of the celebration will focus on the commitment to the organization's mission of establishing the values of peace and dialogue between cultures.
