
HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari met here today morning with a number of International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) member states' ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar.
HE French Ambassador to Qatar Eric Chevallier , HE the Belgian Ambassador to Qatar Christophe Payot attended the meeting along with HE Canadian Ambassador to Qatar Andre Dubois and HE Swiss Ambassador to Qatar Martin Aeschbacher.
Talks during the meeting focused on aspects of cultural cooperation between Qatar and OIF countries in addition to preparing for holding 2015 Francophonie Week in Doha next April.
The Ministry of Culture had organized last year a similar week on the occasion of the International Francophonie Day, which included exhibitions, seminars , cultural, intellectual and artistic activities about Francophone cultures.
Meanwhile, His Excellency also met today with HE Australia's ambassador to Qatar Pablo Kang during which they discussed ways to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.
