Qatar Museums on Wednesday opened the touring exhibition of Creation Generation Project at W Hotel in Doha under the patronage of Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) Chairperson HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani.
The project, which runs until July 17, is an initiative inspired by artist Richard Serra's concurrent exhibitions taking place in Qatar, which were on display in June at The Pearl.
QMA has followed the creative journey of six local artists who were picked for this project. Their works were highlighted on a weekly basis during the exhibition as each of them carried out an artistic work inspired by Serra. The exhibition features photography by Ameera Fareed, Abdulaziz Al Ajail, Haya Al-Thani, and Mohammed Al-Dosari, as well as sculpture by Abdulaziz Youssef and Khalifa Al Kuwari.
