
The Salman Cultural Centre, which is under the General Organisation for Youth and Sports’ Youth Affairs Directorate, is organizing the program ‘Badge of Excellence’ starting tomorrow. The program, open for the age category of 8 to 14 years, comprises several courses in a variety of fields, including arts, theater, drawing, painting, poetry, sculpturing, rhetoric, photography, music,calligraphy, in addition to physical fitness activity, workshops and lectures. The ‘Badge of Excellence’ program aims to carry out the strategy opted by the General Organization for Youth and Sports to improve the quality of the junior camps and prepare young leaders, in addition to involving the youth in various fields’ activities. Other objectives include contributing to strengthening the sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its leadership, deepening the overall concept of national culture among young people, defining the role of national institutions in protecting the gains of the country and maintaining security and stability and deepening the concept of national identity and its role in preserving the culture of the nation. Meanwhile, Salman Cultural Centre supervisor Musa’ad Salman stressed the importance of establishing such programs and camps and aims to provide young participants with many experiences that contribute to refine their talents and announce them as active models in the community. Salman pointed out that the camp was in line with the demands of those emerging talents, which will undoubtedly contribute to acquiring many of the skills that help them in the future, stressing that the Youth Affairs Directorate, and through the administration of Salman Cultural Centre, continues to provide programs and activities that aim to raise the upcoming generation and promote their loyalty to their country.
