
The Saudi cultural attache office, an affiliate of the Saudi embassy in Khartoum, today held its annual Ramadan Iftar meal in honor of Saudi students in Sudan in the attendance of the Saudi ambassador to Sudan Faisal bin Hamed Mualla, Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Ahmed Bilal Othman, who is also the spokesman of Sudan government, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Education Adam Abdullah, in addition to a number of university directors, academicians, diplomats, journalists and media men. Cultural Attache Muna'a bin Muwaish Al-Miteiri said in a speech before the gathering that Saudi scholarships to Sudan were increased from 80 this year to 180 next year, noting the depth of cultural relations between the two countries. He confirmed his office's participation in the forthcoming session of Khartoum International book fair in September 2013.
