Saudi mufti denies fatwa on eating wife

Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah denied as falsified a claimed fatwa (religious opinion) allowing a starving man to eat his wife.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency on Thursday, the Grand Mufti said such lies were made up to create confusion and distort the image of Islam.
The fabricated fatwa went viral on the social media outlets and caused a lot of controversy.
