
Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah adopted on Wednesday a decree to form two committees of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) and met their members. These are the committee on planning and development, and the committee on cultural activities. "The two committees aims to enhance the concepts of cultural identity and citizenship through a range of cultural activities such launching modern museums and child theaters," the minister told the meeting. "The two committees have to draw up clear-cut and viable plans for preserving the true values and rich culture of the Kuwaiti society," said Sheikh Salman who doubles as NCCAL President. Besides their original mandate, the two committees are tasked with developing regular reports on the cultural activities and present them to NCCAL President.
