
The Higher Organising Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2014 has revealed six diverse competitions that will debut at the festival.
This is in line with the framework of strengthening partnerships with various stakeholders in this cultural event, which takes place at Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi from 20th November to 12th December 2014.
The Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2014 is held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan with the support of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces. The festival is conducted under the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Commenting on the adoption of the six competitions within the festival schedule, Humaid Al Neyadi, Vice Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2014 and General Manager of the Private Office of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said, "The Higher Organising Committee of the festival seeks to strengthen ways of communicating with the various parties that contribute to the quality of this edition, supporting all efforts to expand the circle of interaction in this exceptional festival." The events schedule includes six key competitions: ‘Our Emirati Heritage', ‘Sheikh Zayed Our Idol', ‘Best Heritage Image', ‘Best Heritage Press Coverage', ‘Best Supporting Hotel' and ‘Best Supporting Tour Operator'.
Al Neyadi pointed out that the competitions are innovative and ensure greater involvement by various stakeholders, different sectors of society and age groups.
