Sisi honours religious leaderships on birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored on Thursday a number of religious leaderships for their significant role in the renewal of religious discourse and spread of moderate Islam.
The honoring came during Awqaf Ministry's celebrations of the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad on Thursday.
The president granted former Mufti of Egypt Ali Gomaa and Al Azhar University President Abdel Hai Azab the Order of Science and Arts of the First Class.
The president also honored a number of former Awqaf leaderships and religious figures.
