Syrian fine artist Fadi Yaziji’s artwork has gained international recognition. His artwork is currently being sold being sold at international auction houses such as Christie’s and Sotheby’s. Yaziji was born in the Syrian city Latakia, in 1966 however, he currently calls the capital, Damascus home. In 1988, he graduated from the Faculty of fine Arts in Damascus. Today he hosts several exhibits in the Middle East, Europe and America. Yaziji says his style and techniques are somewhat “outside the box”. “I am not a mono artist. Sometimes I do painting or sculpturing. At other times, I do murals, or ceramics. Paper and pencil remain my loyal companions and witnesses of my daily life,” he said. “I always seek to pull the plug on the life of my characters. By doing so, they come to existence again in different shapes and ethics,” said Yaziji.
