
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit conferred Wednesday with Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdul-Malek al-Mekhlafi on the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts exerted to reach a peaceful settlement to the current crisis.
During the meeting, Mekhlafi presented the most important results of the contacts on Yemen that took place recently between the Yemeni, regional and international parties concerned, according to AL statement.
Abul Gheit asserted his full support to the Yemeni legitimate government under President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi, the statement added.
Abul Gheit said that the AL will continue contacts with UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on the situation in Yemen, according to the statement.
