Albanian president invites Sisi to visit Tirana

Albanian President Bujar Nishani has invited Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to visit Tirana.

A statement by Egypt's House of Representatives said Friday that Speaker Ali Abdel Aal met with Nishani to discuss ways to boost relations between the two countries in various fields.

Abdel Aal conveyed greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for Albania's pro-Egypt positions and Egypt's desire to consolidate ties of economic and cultural cooperation.

Nishani hailed Egypt as a great global power that plays a vital role in achieving regional and international stability.

He urged more cooperation in economic, cultural, and counter-terrorism fields.

Abdel Aal also met with Chairman of the Parliament of Albania Ilir Meta and invited him to visit the Egyptian parliament.
