Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ramtane Lamamra, met Thursday with Ugandan counterpart Henry Oryem Okello, currently on a visit to Algeria.
After the meeting, the Ugandan official said the meeting reviewed bilateral ties as well as the issue of African Union (AU) Commission's election, to be held during the next summit of the pan-African organization, for which a Ugandan candidate is running for the chairman position, Algeria state news agency APS reported.
The Ugandan minister had met earlier with Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal for talks that touched on the situation in the African continent and a number of international issues of common concern.
