
Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tareq Amer met with chief of the German Federal Bank Jens Weidmann to complete agreed talks about joint cooperation between Egypt and the German bank in the German city of Frankfurt.
On Tuesday, Amer will meet with German State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Finance Thomas Steffen in the German capital Berlin.
He will also have talks with the head of the committee of economy at the German Bundestag and the federal working team concerned with the International Monetary Fund in the German parliament.
Amer started a two-day visit to Germany on Monday with the aim of promoting Egyptian-German cooperation in the financial and monetary fields.
Germany is supporting an agreement reached between Egypt and the IMF, particularly that Germany chairs Group 20 as of next year.
