
Minister of Communication and Information Technology Yasser el Qady received on Thursday Saleem Haque, the Vice President for Advanced Customer Support Delivery at Oracle Corporation in addition to Bassel Mubarak, the country manager of Oracle Egypt.
The minister was briefed on Oracle's achievements and work plans, particularly in the field of advanced technical support services provided for Oracle customers worldwide from the company's branch in Cairo.
El Qady pointed out to the national project adopted by the state and implemented by the communication ministry with the aim of empowering technological cadres in advanced fields to help serve strategic projects and boost Egypt's industry, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology said in a statement Thursday.
Saleem Haque meanwhile said Oracle has a desire to expand its business in Egypt, especially that the Arab region has lately witnessed a boom in the field of data base management and relevant advanced technical support services.
Haque also commended Egyptian specialized cadres and the skills they possess.
