
Minister of Communication and Information Technology Yasser Al Qadi met on Thursday with visiting Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Spirtzis along with his accompanying delegation of Greek officials and businessmen.
The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in communication and information technology domains as well as a number of joint projects of mutual benefit.
The visit comes as part of the Egyptian work plan in order to promote joint partnership and develop cooperation and bilateral ties according to the vision proposed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi during his visit to Greece on December 8 through 10, 2015.
Spirtzis voiced keenness to open horizons of joint cooperation at the governmental level, in networks and infrastructure in addition to the design process and electronics manufacturing.
For his part, Qadi welcomed conducting studies with regard to all the fields in question, particularly electronics manufacturing which comes as a top priority for the Egyptian communication sector.
The ministry is to hold many manufacturing agreements with a number of European countries as well as Korean and Chinese corporations in order to push the electronics manufacturing forward, the Egyptian minister said.
