
Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi met on Sunday with visiting Head of the Sudanese Military Intelligence Authority Ali Mohammad Salem and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Sobhi asserted the depth of historic relations binding the Nile River people, voicing hope that the coming phase would witness more integration and cooperation between Egypt and Sudan to achieve the aspirations of the two peoples.
Talks also covered a set of issues of common interest in view of partnership relations and military cooperation. They also addressed local and regional developments and their impact on security and stability in the African continent.
Chief of Staff Lt General Mahmoud Hegazi also received the Sudanese Military Intelligence Authority chief at the general secretariat of the defense ministry.
A number of top military brass attended the meeting.
