Defense minister receives Canadian counterpart

Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi on Saturday received his Canadian counterpart Harjit Singh Sajjan.
The meeting dealt with several regional issues of mutual concern and efforts to counter terrorism and restore stability to the Middle East.
The two sides also discussed ways to increase cooperation in military fields and exchange of experiences between the armed forces of both countries.
Sobhi stressed the depth of well-established relations with Canada, expressing hope that the coming period would witness more cooperation between the two countries
Attending the meeting were Egyptian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy and other army commanders.
