Education Minister El Hilali El Sherbini met on Tuesday with Cultural Attaché at the US Embassy in Cairo Mark Wenig to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in the education field.
During the gathering, El Sherbini said bilateral cooperation programs should authorize the bodies concerned to participate in selecting those who are nominated to travel to the US either teachers or students.
Also, the education minister urged the US side to send education experts and specialized trainers to help qualify Egyptian teachers at public schools.
For his part, Wenig asserted the US embassy is keen on developing relations and cooperation with the Education Ministry, especially with regard to dispatching Egyptian teachers to the US.
The US diplomat briefed El Sherbini on a training program for Egyptian teachers before being put into force in the US.
