Egypt, Britain discuss educational cooperation

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ashraf el Shehi discussed with Director of the British Council in Cairo Jeff Streeter support mechanisms that UK could introduce to develop the Egyptian education system.

The meeting was held Sunday, and grouped el Shehi, Streeter, delegation from the UK Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE), deputy higher education minister for scientific research Essam Khamis, president of Benha Universirty Ali Shams el Din.

The support mechamism is expected to tackle improving the skills of academic professors, hononing their skills, and preparing them for leading academic positions.

The meeting’s importance undelines the 2030 strategic plan, which aims at praparing academic cadres in conformity with the international standards.
