
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Saturday with his Malian counterpart Abdoulaye Diop on the sidelines of their participation in the 28th session of the African Union, which is currently being held in Ethiopia.
The meeting took up ways of boosting bilateral ties along with the main issues and the most important files listed on the agenda of the meetings of the African Union summit, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
Shoukry, meanwhile, said that Egypt appreciates its bilateral ties with Mali and the current cooperation in the various spheres, according to the spokesman.
Egypt supports Mali in confronting terrorism, Shoukry said, confirming keenness on attaining stability in Mali.
