Transport Minister Galal el Said met with the South Korean ambassador to Egypt Sunday when they discussed cooperation in the different fields of transport, especially in Metro, railways and ports.
The two sides discussed offer made by the South Korean company Hyundai Rotem to the Egyptian Ministry of Transport.
The offer implies soft funding to buy 64 trains for Metro Line 3 after its completion, as part of a public tender to supply trains to the same line.
The ministry is mulling all offers it has received, minister Said noted, adding that any tenders will be held transparently in line with the state's interests.
Meanwhile, Sunday's meeting took up offers made by the Korean side to fund Metro Line 5.
