
Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker on Thursday discussed with Swedish Deputy Foreign Minister Oscar Stenstrom ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in the electricity production domain.
During the meeting, Shaker probed challenges and difficulties facing the power sector over the past period and how to deal with them along with measures taken to provide solutions and achievements made so far as well as ongoing projects.
For his part, Stenstrom hailed efforts exerted by the Egyptian electricity sector to overcome the difficulties, saying Sweden is eager to enhance cooperation with Egypt in this vital sector.
The Swedish official said his country is ready for cooperating in different fields including renewable energy projects. He invited Shaker to visit Sweden to get acquainted with state-of-the-art technologies and exchange and transfer expertise.
