
Egyptian Ambassador to Togo Karim Sherif handed on Monday Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on means of boosting inter-African relations in Egypt's capacity as the current president of the African Peace and Security Council.
A statement released by the Foreign Ministry Monday said the Togolese president voiced thanks and appreciation for President Sisi who invited him to attend the APSC meeting that will be held on the fringe of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
The APSC meeting will address all African issues of common interest and means of achieving peace and security in the African continent, according to the statement.
The Egyptian diplomat was handed a message from the Togolese president on the occasion of Eid el Adha in which he affirmed the progress achieved in the Egyptian-Togolese relations.
