
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, now visiting Germany, met on Thursday with German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Muller.
Shoukry praised Germany’s stances in support of Egypt over the past period and voiced hope that the coming period would witness more cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
The meeting took up prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of professional training and human resources management, Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The two ministers tackled also recent economic decisions taken by the Egyptian government and its impact on the Egyptian people, as well as the latest developments in the Middle East region and the illegal immigration crisis.
The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development plays a significant role in supporting social and economic development programs in Africa, the top Egyptian diplomat noted.
Muller, for his part, expressed Germany’s keenness on ensuring the success of Egypt’s economic expertise and supporting the Egyptian private sector.
He revealed plans to visit Egypt soon alongside a German investment delegation to get acquainted with investment opportunities in Egypt.
