
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received on Saturday French minister of parliamentary affairs who is currently visiting Egypt to meet with a number of officials, parliament speaker and heads of parliament’s committees.
In statements, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said they discussed fostering bilateral relations in all fields.
The French minister asserted the French parliament’s keenness to boost relations with its Egyptian counterpart, adding that a parliamentary delegation from the Egyptian-French friendship group is expected to visit Egypt soon.
During the meeting, Shoukry discussed the latest regional developments, especially the situation in Libya and Syria.
Shoukry also appreciated the participation of elements of navy in training on Mistral ship and an agreement concerning a military satellite expected to be signed next week.
