
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met Thursday with his Dutch counterpart Bert Koenders in Washington, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The meeting comes on the sidelines of an anti-Daesh conference in the US capital.
Koenders was keen on meeting with Shoukry to be updated with the outcome of his Egyptian counterpart’s visits to Ramallah and Al Quds, along with Egypt’s assessment to the efforts of resuming peace process.
The top Dutch diplomat appreciated Egypt's efforts to revive the peace process and its vital regional role, expressing his country’s readiness to support Egypt to achieve peace and security in the region.
