
A senior German delegation has visited the Asharqia Chamber, which promotes private sector contributions to the economy of the Eastern Province.
The visit was made under the chairmanship of Christian Wulff, the former president of Germany.
Faisal bin Saleh Al-Quraishi, member of the board of directors at the chamber said that German technology and products are very popular in Saudi Arabia.
More than 400 German companies in Saudi Arabia have investments worth more than $8 billion, according to statistics from the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority.
Wulff said that German companies are willing to provide expertise and technology that seeks to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 reform plan. He added that the trade relations between the two countries have grown in recent years.
He also stressed the importance of strengthening cultural relations and communications between the peoples of the two countries.
