
Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr held a meeting on Thursday with the heads of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) Sherif Sami and the Egyptian Exchange Mohamed Omran.
The meeting tackled the economic conditions of the non-banking financial sector as well as administrative measures for protecting small investors.
The talks also addressed the bourse's strategy to reinforce its position at the international level.
Nasr underlined the importance of enacting a number of laws to develop the capital market tools.
She added that the ministry gives a top priority to small and medium sized projects.
EFSA Chairman Sherif Sami reviewed capital market developments over the past few months.
He highlighted the importance of getting the non-banking financial sector to support economic development and the private sector.
