
Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari met on Sunday with Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani and his accompanying delegation in Baghdad.
Madani said the OIC will do utmost efforts to help Iraq, noting that a conference will be held soon to help this Arab country to overcome different challenges.
The conference venue has not been determined yet, he said.
They tackled also the security situation in Iraq and the latest developments of the anti-Daesh war.
Jaafari said his country is ready to participate in any event that aims at maintaining unity of the Islamic countries.
He called on the international community to stand up to terrorism, saying that this international phenomenon targets all the world countries.
