Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri met Jan Kubis, the UN Secretary General's special representative in Iraq.
During the meeting, Kubis briefed the Iraqi speaker on the outcome of the recent meeting in New York, which urged support for Iraq on all fronts.
For his part, al-Jabouri called for an relief role for the United Nations and humanitarian organizations after the start of the operation to liberate Mosul. He urged the U.N. representative to play a bigger role in achieving stability and backing the reconciliation and justice efforts.
