Iraqi minister urges benefiting from Italy's expertise in field of protecting antiquities

Iraqi President Fuad Maasoum highlighted the importance of benefiting from Italy's experience in the fields of protecting antiquities and .
During a meeting on Monday with the undersecretary of the Italian Foreign Ministry in Baghdad in the presence of the Italian ambassador to Iraq, the Iraqi leader praised the stances of Italy in backing the Iraqi people in fighting the terrorist group Daesh.
He called for developing relations between Iraq and Italy in the economic and tourist domains.
For his part, the Italian official expressed his country's readiness to expand scope of cooperation with Iraq at the academic, cultural, military and economic levels.
