
Iraqi parliament speaker Salim al Jabouri discussed on Thursday with French Senate member Jack Barare, the latest local and regional developments as well ways to boost bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields.
Jabouri affirmed the importance of the French role in lending a helping hand to Iraq in fighting terrorism.
He also called on the French government and parliamentarians to develop legislative cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Barare, who is also the chief of Iraqi-French friendship association, expressed his optimism about victories achieved by Iraqi forces in the war on terrorist Daesh group, adding that bilateral relations is going through an excellent phase, hoping for greater cooperation in the coming period.
