
Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Aati met with Japanese Ambassador here Takahiro Kagawa on ways to promote joint cooperation in the various domains.
The envoy, who was accompanied by a number of members of the Japanese diplomatic mission in Cairo and representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), also reviewed a number of JICA-backed projects being carried out by the ministry.
The Minister asserted Cairo’s keenness on benefiting from Japanese experiences in the various rationalizing fields in order to help Egypt overcome current challenges.
Unconventional means of water desalination and reuse of wastewater were among the issues that came high on the agenda of the meeting.
