President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday held a meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The meeting took up ties and means to boost cooperation between the two countries, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
President Sisi arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier Thursday and was received by the Crown Prince at Abu Dhabi Airport.
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince asserted strong ties linking the two sides wishing more stability and progress in Egypt, Youssef added.
He said President Sisi's visit is a new step to improve brotherly relations and to coordinate stances on files of common interest, the presidential spokesman said.
In the same context, President Sisi expressed greetings to the United Arab Emirates and its people on the country’s 45th National Day.
The discussions covered developments in the region, Youssef said, adding the two countries adopt similar visions and a belief in the necessity of settling political disagreements separating Arab states.
